My name is Louie Arroyo and I practice Structural Integration. Si has empowered me to feel better, move better and play better. The great news is that it can do the same for you! My goal as a practitioner is to work with you (not on you) to assist you in understanding the root cause of your physical ailments. More often than not, chronic pain, tension, discomfort can be attributed to imbalances in your fascia. Well functioning fascia has a fluid like elastic consistency. Over time, as a result of injuries and chronic holding patterns, your fascia can become glue like. When this happens, simple muscular movements like turning your head left or right can become difficult and require the use of additional muscle groups, causing additional strain and possibly pain and discomfort in your body.
SI is a potentially powerful form of bodywork
that empowers people to take charge of their lives. It will allow you to feel better, move better and play better by creating balance in your bodies myofascial system It creates space and balance through precise and
systematic manipulation of body’s fascial matrix allowing for better posture, easier movement, improved athletic performance, reduction of chronic pain and better overall wellbeing.
SI can restore mobility, flexibility and produce a sense of freedom in the
body by improving your self-awareness. Improved self-awareness can help you look at your
life from a different perspective empowering yourself to make positive changes in your daily routine. This awareness is
heightened as you begin to consider the relationship between your physical body and your mind. Si is a
wonderful combination of bodywork, dialogue and movement education. SI will not remedy all of a
your ailments nor will it prevent them from reoccurring in the future. From what I have seen and
experienced, SI can and will relieve a lot of your physical symptoms. It does so by addressing the less than optimal
physical patterns of your structure as well as the psycho-emotional patterns that are contributing
factors. I don’t know of another form of therapy or bodywork that can say the same thing.
In my experience, the root cause of a clients chronic pain is generally located somewhere other than where the symptom is felt. SI looks at the body as a whole and not as a collection of individual body parts. From this perspective, SI systematically addresses structural and postural imbalances in the whole myofascial system. Although SI can produce immediate positive changes in the body, it is much more effective when performed in a series of treatments. This series is known as The 10 Series. For more detailed information about the 10 Series follow the link at the bottom of the page.
