Chronic pain is complex and multi-faceted. Understanding the components that contribute to pain requires a full understanding of the patient from a Mind/Body/Spirit perspective. Our practice employs Functional Medicine to address chronic pain and substance dependence withdrawal because this specific practice of medicine considers the whole patient, addresses the root cause of symptoms, and the process provides the information necessary to develop treatment plans that are unique and personalized. We believe in treating the whole person, and value the patient provider relationship. We maintain a small private-pay practice to enable us to provide the individualized attention our family of patients deserve. We work with and refer to other providers who utilize a variety of complementary treatment modalities, as we believe chronic pain is often best treated through a variety of treatments. Functional Medicine is focused on addressing and treating the causes of symptoms where possible. We do not prescribe controlled substances, but will prescribe other supportive medications if indicated. We recognize that chronic pain is life altering, and work with our patients to make decisions regarding treatment
