Pain is so subjective that it cannot always be fully assessed and responded to by others. Regardless of the origin and symptoms of pain, Hypnosis, also known as Medicine of the Mind, supports a client's use of their subconscious mind to address, respond, modify and change their response to Pain. Hypnosis re-frames previously learned and unconscious responses to pain to where the pain no longer negatively impacts the emotional, physical,social, spiritual and financial aspects of life.
All clients using Hypnosis for Pain Control complete a Pain Self Assessment Form which identifies: the location, type ,duration and depth of pain; why the client is in pain; current response(s) to pain; methods of pain control & the effectiveness of that control and the impact of Chronic pain has had on their Life. This information is then utilized a holistic approach of pain free methods and coaching/talk therapy which are then integrated within each Hypnotic Session.
Clients using the Services of The Spirit Within receive the best of both worlds: Dr. Dean's knowledge of the Western Health Care System and various methods of Complimentary Medicine, both of which are integrated into the client's intended Plan of Healthy Living and their current Plan of Medical Care. Judy's 50 + years in the Nursing Profession are comprised of various positions including: clinical, administrative, teaching, consulting, development of professional and Community -based educational programs and as a former Captain in the USAF Nurse Corps.
In the late 1990's an opportunity presented itself for Judy to embark on a Journey to integrate the knowledge of Nursing and Medical Community into a Complimentary health care profession. These additional endeavors resulted in becoming a President and Board Chairperson for 2 National Organizations oriented to Massage Therapists & Bodyworkers & to Nurse Massage Therapists. Dr. Judy's background as a RN, Clinical Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master Teacher and Licensed Massage Therapist results in a broader interpretation and understanding of the Client's challenges.
My years as a Nurse Massage Therapist, Reiki Master Teacher and Medical Hypnotherapist have been as rewarding as my years in the active field of Nursing. I continue to expand and validate the Services offered with continuing education courses.
