Description of Practice: Dr. Victoria L. Ibric, MD, PhD, BCN

NNRI offers Neurofeedback, Biofeedback, Hypnotherapy and nutrition consulting to people with chronic pain (headaches (HA) of various etiology, such as tension HA, post concussion HA, migraine HA, etc; neck and shoulder pain, TMJ, back pain, etc).

Dr. Ibric, MD, PhD, BCN has been offering neurofeedback services since 1993. Neurofeedback is a non invasive technique that teaches individuals with chronic pain through a process of neuromodulation how to control their pain with less or without medications. Using a variety of instruments, that are chosen for each individual case according to their need, the neurofeedback training is pleasant and, when is done sufficiently, produces long lasting changes in the pain perception. Training the brain electrical activity modifies also emotional issues associated to pain, such as anxiety and depression, and sleep disturbances.

Over the years Dr. Ibric presented the results she obtained with patients with chronic pain syndromes using neurofeedback and with light and electromagnetic stimulation, in different forums at National and International conferences (AAPB, iSNR, IASP, CAM). "Neurofeedback in pain management" is a chapter Dr. Ibric wrote and published in the Introduction to Quantitative EEG and Neurofeedback, edited by Budzynski, Evans and Abarbanel, in Academic Press, Elsevier, 2009. [The "mind mirror" of the brain waves recorded by a neurofeedback instrument is presented in the photo attached.]
