Melanie Berry is a double Board Certified (BCIA and NTCB) Biofeedback Practitioner and Neurotherapist, with a Masters degree in Psychology. She has further specialized her training, supervision, and work experience in psychophysiological stress and pain management and techniques of behavioral medicine earning her status as Fellow at the American Institute of Stress. Her advanced training has earned her sub-specialty certificates as a HeartMath Interventionist and proficiency in Microcurrent Therapy. Melanie is the Clinical Director of Carolinas Biofeeedback Clinic, LLC, in Charlotte, NC, which offers an expansive array of Biofeedback and Neurofeedback techniques to clients typically referred by their physicians or therapists for specific symptoms relating to stress, pain, and dysautonomia. She has participated as lead or co-investigator on four VA research teams studying a variety of mind-body interactions including the cognitive benefits of HRV Biofeedback on PTSD-induced memory issues, the benefits of HRV Biofeedback as a drug-free intervention for chronic pain conditions in the military, and the benefits of incorporating Alpha-stim in an interdisciplinary out-patient chronic pain program. She continues to work with Veterans in the Charlotte area as a "Homecoming For Veterans" program provider and nationwide as a member of the Combat Stress Board of AIS. Melanie Berry is trained and certified in both Microcurrent ElectroTherapy (MET) and Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES). Alpha-stim can be easily combined with biofeedback techniques for a complete, whole-body and mind solution to stress and pain management. Common chronic or acute pain applications include: migraine or headache, neck pain, back pain, joint pain, fibromyalgia, nerve pain, myofascial pain syndrome, carpel tunnel, chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS or RSD).
