    Description of Practice: Sally Norton

As a nutritionist, dietary consultant, lifestyle coach, and author with degrees from Cornell University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I specialize in helping individuals struggling with unexplained joint pain, kidney problems, muscle pain, inflammation, fatigue, and brain function problems such as poor sleep, concentration, and brain fog.

My unique area of expertise lies in understanding the link between dietary oxalates and mysterious health issues and pain syndromes. If you consume certain foods that are naturally high in oxalic acid, for example, nuts, potatoes, sweet potatoes, spinach, chard, beets, dark chocolate, buckwheat, or tea, you may be at risk of experiencing pain and chronic inflammation caused by oxalate toxicity. Oxalate toxicity leads to oxalate crystal accumulation in glands, bones, joints, and kidneys which tends to trigger chronic disease.

To my great astonishment, my struggle with lifelong pain and other health problems finally turned around when I learned to cut down on these high-oxalate foods. This experience motivated me to deeply research this topic and write about it. And, since 2014, I have coached/consulted with individuals to help them benefit from the therapeutic avoidance of oxalate in foods and support the subsequent removal of oxalate from the body. In addition to publishing articles and a ground-breaking book on this topic, I have made over one hundred appearances on radio, TV, and online programs.

My focus is on low-oxalate eating to alleviate pain and related issues, but I also assist clients dealing with various other nutritional and health challenges. Working with me, you will receive personalized professional advice, education, and guidance based on your specific situation, history, nutritional needs, and health objectives.

I conduct introductory meetings about low oxalate eating several times a month via Zoom and offer a limited number of individual consultations via Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, and phone by appointment only. To inquire, please click the link above.

Please note that while I can offer support for dietary changes and supplementation, I am not qualified to diagnose diseases, interpret genetic tests, or prescribe medications.

My best-selling book, Toxic Superfoods How Oxalate Overload is Making You Sick and How to Get Better, is now available wherever books are sold. You can purchase it here

The interview with Kevin Rutherford on Let's Truck, Destination Health

Ms. Norton, I want to thank you for your enlightening discussion of oxalates and their impact on health. The first I heard of this was in reading David Perlmutter, M.D. and his expose' of lectins and other plant dangers. Also, Kevin's shows give easy and impactful access to health improvement beyond the accepted standards. However, what you explained in your recent interview with Kevin went way beyond what I had learned up to that point. I have had almost 20 kidney stones though not since a variety of changes I have made in my diet. I have also had bariatric surgery, a bypass, that I was grateful for until I learned more from your discussion with Kevin. Eeek. Malabsorption. I will be seeking further knowledge now in how best to ensure the continuation of my amazing health improvements and the energy I now enjoy at the age of 71.

Your way of presenting the evidence together with your credentials and story has been eye-opening. Thank you Stephanie DeRango
