These principles are central to our approach:
Groups and Specialized treatment options:
Biofeedback: Biofeedback is another evidence based, non-invasive and non-pharmaceutical therapeutic intervention. It helps individuals learn to manage stress through interactive mind/body techniques with on screen biofeedback training that enables individuals to monitor their stress response and learn to manage it through relaxation, breathing, and mindfulness. It allows individuals to learn to effectively self-regulate.
Virtual Reality Therapy via Psious: VR therapy has been extensively studied for more than 15 years and it has been found to be effective in treating mental health conditions especially anxiety and specifically phobias. It's level of clinical effectiveness is higher than the traditional exposure therapy, and also as effective as in vivo exposure. It is used in conjunction with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is a great addition to CBT as it enhances and improves the treatment of specific phobias. We have seen great improvements in people with fear of flying, social anxiety, fear of needles to name a few. If this is an interest, and you would like more information please let your provider know.
