Description of Practice: Peter Harvey L.Ac, MSOM, FABORM, NCCAOM

My journey into acupuncture began in Salt Lake City being treated for asthma which was relieved through acupuncture, herbs and diet. Because of that experience i became an acupuncturist. I myself have suffered with chronic pain having 3 lumbar disc herniations and severe spinal stenosis. To date I am pain free with no surgury or drugs. I am active weightlifting in the gym and returned back to kick boxing. My extensive training began apprenticing in Salt lake 2500 hrs where where I gained experience treating professional athletes and some of the U.S. Olympic ski and bobsled team. I traveled to China and studied in Tian Jin at the first teaching hospital and came back to Chicago for formal school training at Midwest College of Oriental Medicine where i graduated Summa Cum Laude. All in all I have had over 5000 hrs of training spanning 23yrs of experience treating over 7,000 cases of neck and back pain alone.. I am NCCAOM certified, I am an herbalist MSOM, and a fellow with the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine. I believe in a multidisciplinary approach to treating pain using acupuncture, herbs, diet, vitamins and most important the mind body connection with an individual approach to patient care.   Get Directions View On Larger Map
