I treat all medical conditions including physical, mental and emotional concerns. Chronic pain, back pain, neck pain, migraines, stress, emotional trauma, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, and sports injuries are some of my specialties.
As a Certified Physician Assistant since 1992, I am well versed in Traditional Western Medicine, and bring that knowledge to my Traditional Chinese Acupuncture practice. I also have a special place in my heart for healthcare workers and family caregivers who are stressed, burnt out and in need of rejuvenation and improved work-life balance. They need to be tended and cared for so they have the ability and stamina so they can better care for their patients, families and loved ones.

The moment I met Jean at her office, it was such a professional, but calming feeling, Jean is very knowledgeable in her practice of acupuncture. She would tell me what she was doing, why and what it would affect. On the initial visit, and every visit thereafter, Jean would sit down with me and really listen and take notes of what pains I was feeling. She would then map out a plan to work on those issues and other referring areas. Jean brought so much relief from my knee and hip pain, more than the cortisone shot had done. Jean wanted to find the root problem and work on that, as well as get all blocked areas open and flowing again. Jean is very caring and is one of the best acupuncturists around !!! Jean sat down with me and listened to what was going on in my life. She really tries to understand what I've been struggling with or concerned about such as my difficulties with addiction or specific areas of my body that I have been having pain as well as stress and anxiety and then gears our acupuncture sessions towards helping me in those specific areas. I have been to other acupuncturists and no one can compare to my incredible experiences with Jean Donati. She is very well educated and experienced with acupuncture as well as being passionate about what she does and was able to alleviate my fears about not having been to an acupuncturist in a awhile.
Jean speaks in a soft calming tone and explains what she is doing while you are laying on the table. I get so much peace and tranquillity from each session with Jean and she was able to help me with my addiction struggles as well as my back pain.

I have carpal tunnel and at times debilitating pain in both hands and really not wanting a surgery I figured I would try Acupuncture. I have never done acupuncture and hoped it would help. Ms. Donati is very knowledgeable and professional. My hand pain has calmed down a lot, I can sleep a night without the hand splints.

I’ve been disappointed with western medicine lately. Most of my physicians seem to be phoning it in, too eager to prescribe band-aids for issues that require a more holistic approach. Jean is different. She makes me feel heard and understood, and she has been working hard to ease my chronic pain. Found Jean Donati on LinkedIn, never tried Acupuncture before, thought about it but never tried. Called Jean and started asking questions and she listened, wow never had that happen with a doctor before, answered every question I had for her. I was still hesitant so waited a week or so, She texted me back with a few openings she had, and still I was hesitant about Acupuncture. So I hit the web and checked her out and her services and gave it a try. It was kinda weird to me so I asked more questions, and kindly she answered all my questions. So I have been going to Jean for a month or so and most of my back pain is gone. So every appointment I have we sit and talk about what’s going on and plan a treatment for me. I first went to Jeanie Donati in 1990, I had developed a left neck and shoulder pain that was radiating down my arm into my left hand. Eventually I developed a "Trigger Thumb". I could no longer hold anything in my left hand because my thumb would lose grip without warning. Within five treatments from Jean my thumb regained the ability to grasp and hold anything I picked up. I am very delighted that I found her again. Her dedication to getting me well in 1990 is the reason my friend and I are traveling 2 hrs from Dover, DE every week to receive treatment now.
