Description of Practice: Alternative Medicine Acupuncture

Dr. Gueorguiev is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and Board Certified Acupuncture Physician who also practices Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography at Memorial Hospital of Tampa.

He received his medical degree in Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from East West College of Natural Medicine and further advanced his education with a degree of Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the highly respected Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California.

Dr. Gueorguiev started his career at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in 2006 in Tampa, FL and performed nuclear medicine-PET/CT exams. While he was at Moffitt Cancer Center and was being exposed to staging and restaging variety types of cancers, he also decided to pursue a degree in Public Health at University of South Florida (USF), so he was able to get better understanding of the connection between cancer, life style and environment.

In 2011, he joined USF Physician Group Cardiology Department where he was part of the Nuclear Cardiology medical team, and he was involved in direct diagnoses of many different cardiac diseases, and has become very passionate towards cardiovascular conditions and their treatments.

Also in 2011 to present, he joined Memorial Hospital of Tampa, performing nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiology, computed tomography, and positron emission tomography exams where he has been exposed to a variety of diagnostic diseases. While being at the radiology department, he covers Emergency Room and all floor patients where he has been exposed and has been part of all types of tests, exams, scans and biopsies for different diseases in the nuclear and computed tomography scanner rooms.

In 2017, he joined Locicero Medical Group in Tampa, FL and became their only Alternative Medicine Acupuncture health care provider.

While working with some of the Tampa Bay best Western practitioners, Dr. Gueorguiev has helped patients to receive all types of health benefits not just from the Western medicine approach but Eastern medicine by applying Alternative Medicine therapies such as acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, dietary consultation, supplement prescription, laser therapy, cupping, guasha, Tuina, acupoint herbal and homeopathic injections for all types of diseases.

With all the changes the healthcare arena faces today, Dr. Gueorguiev strongly believes that integrating both Western and Eastern medicine is the best approach for improving patient care and reducing the opioid crisis the country is currently facing.

Dr. Ivaylo Georgiev is a doctor like no one else. I periodically visit LoCicero Medical Group for my low back pain and leave in minutes without any pain! What can I say, World Class Doctor. The best I ever had. For many years I have been going to endocrinologist where I was given L. thyroxine but still my other hormones were not within normal limits. With the constant ringing in my ears I thought I was going crazy. My primary sent me to an ear specialist who said, there was nothing wrong with my ears and no visual obstructions or anatomical changes. The ringing was every day for over a year until I saw Dr. Ivo who treated me for 3 weeks and I was fine ever since. I highly recommend his office and all his staff who were super nice to me.

For many years I have been struggling with different health issues and kept taking medicine to help myself and feel better. Some of my friends told me to try acupuncture and in the beginning I was taking as a joke with no hope. But after my second treatment with Dr. Ivo, my prospective changed completely! Sınav sürecinden geçen tüm gençlerin psikolojik dengesi sarsılıyor. Benim için de hayli bir zor ve sıkıntılı bir süreçti. Aylar boyunca rahat uyku uyuyamamıştım, yorgunluk üzerime ağırlık gibi çökmüştür. Sınavlarımı atlattım fakat bir türlü yorgunluğu atıp, sakinleşemedim. Başarıma bile sevinme gücü bulamadım. Sakin ve sağlıklı uykulara hasret kaldım. Taa ki karşıma ansızın Dr. İvo çıkına dek. Kendisi 2-3 akupunktur (kuru iğne) prosedürine kalmadı beni tatlı ve sağlıklı uykularıma kavuşturdu. Hatta eskiden sinir olduğum situasyonlarda bile şimdi soğukkanlılığımı korumayı başarıyorum. Dr. Ivo'nun kuru iğne terapilerinin bana denge, dinginlik ve bolca enerji aşıladığını hissetmemek mümkün değil! Aynı zamanda şunu da belirtmeden geçemeyeceğim. Benim tiroid ve amenorrhea hastalıklarım gündemde ve hepsinin kaynağı stres. Benim için en strestli olan son iki ay boyunca da аdetim gelmedi. Çok da zayıflamıştım...
